GOD'S KINDNESS TO SINFUL MAN

Oh LORD I know, that Thou art kind
To those who see, and to the blind
But LORD I know, that this I see
Thou art most kind, when on my knees

I seek O Lord, to follow Thee
O'er all the land, and all the seas
Where I can't go, send others LORD
To reach the lost, and preach Thy word

To help the weak, Thy grace to seek
To find by grace, Thy laws to keep
To show them how, by grace Divine
To know Thy will, and Heaven's time

It is growing late, in the Day of Grace
Thy wrath will soon, judge all our race
Thy trumpet sounds, the saved will rise
To our eternal home, beyond the skies

To dwell with Thee, eternally
Thy blessings then, as now shall be
But O the despair, of all who fail
Thy mercies now, by grace to avail

They will pray the mountains, on them to fall
Because on Him. they will not call
Sinner join us now, upon thy knees!
God's own power, the captive frees!

I praise thee LORD, for that glorious day
When from Thy love, I will never stray
When sin no more, will conquer me
And all around me, have been made free

Of selfish pride, and selfish ways
Of wasted time, and wasted days
Of all those sins, that trouble us
And all our days, will be glorious!

TEXAS

Have you ever looked at a map of the world? Look at Texas with me just for a second. That picture, with the Panhandle and the Gulf Coast , and the Red River and the Rio Grande is as much a part of you as anything ever will be. As soon as anyone anywhere in the world looks at it they know what it is. It'sTexas. Pick any kid
off the street in Japan and draw him a picture of Texas in the dirt and he'll know what it is What happens if I show you a picture of any other state? You might get it maybe after a second or two, but who else would? And even if you do, does it ever stir any feelings in you?

In every man, woman and child on this planet, there is a person who wishes just once he could be a real live Texan and get up on a horse or ride off in a pickup. There is a little bit of Texas in everyone.

Texas is the Alamo . Texas is 183 men standing in a church, facing thousands of Mexican nationals, fighting for freedom, who had the chance to walk out and save themselves, but stayed instead to fight and die for the cause of freedom.

We send our kids to schools name d William B. Travis and James Bowie and Davy Crockett, and do you know why? Because those men saw a line in the sand and they decided to cross it and be heroes.

John Wayne paid to do the movie himself . That is the Spirit of Texas.

Texas is Sam Houston capturing Antonio Lopez de Santa Ana at San Jacinto.
Texas is huge forests of Piney Woods like the Davy Crockett and Sam Houston National Forests .

Texas is breathtaking mountains in the Big Bend .

Texas is the unparalleled beauty of bluebonnet fields in the Texas Hill Country.

Texas is the beautiful, warm beaches of the Gulf Coast of South Texas

Texas is the shiny skyscrapers in Houston and Dallas.

Texas is world record bass from places like Lake Fork ..

Texas is Mexican foods like nowhere else, not even Mexico ..

Texas
is the Fort Worth Stockyards, Bass Hall, the Ballpark in Arlington and the Astrodome. (guess now the Reliant Stadium too).

Texas is larger-than-life legends like Michael DeBakey, Ann Richards, Denton Cooley, Willie Nelson, Buddy
Holly, Gene Autry, Audie Murphy, Tommy Lee Jones, Waylon Jennings, Farrah Fawcet, Janis Joplin, Sandra Bullock, Kris Kristofferson, Tom Landry, Eva Longoria, Darrell Royal, ZZ Top, Eric Dickerson, Earl Campbell,Tex Ridder,George Jones,Babe Didrikson Zaharias,Nolan Ryan, Sam Rayburn, Howard Hughes, George H. W. Bush, George W. Bush, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Lyndon B. Johnson, and let's not
forget GEORGE STRAIT- PANTERA!!!!!!!!!!!!

Texas is great companies like Dell Computer, Texas Instruments and Compaq, Bell Helicopter and LOCKHEED MARTIN AEROSPACE, Home of the F-16 Jet Fighter and the JSF Fighter.

Texas is NASA.

Texas is huge herds of cattle and miles of crops.

Texas is home to the most amazing sunsets of gold over an empty field.

Texas is hundreds of deer running around neighborhoods and fields.

Texas is skies blackened with doves and fields full of deer.

Texas is a place where towns and cities shut down to watch the local high school football game on
Friday nights and for the Cowboys on Monday Night Football, and for the night In Old San Antonio River Parade in San Antonio.

To drive across Texas is to drive 1/3 the way across the United States .

Texas is ocean beaches, deserts, lakes and rivers, mountains and prairies, and modern cities.

If it isn't already in Texas , you probably don't need it.

No one does anything bigger or better than it's done in Texas .

By federal law, Texas is the only state in the U.S. that can fly its flag at the same height as the U.S. flag Think about that for a second. You fly the Stars
and Stripes at 20 feet in Maryland , California , or Maine , and your state flag, whatever it is, goes at 17 feet. You fly the Stars and Stripes in front of Klein Oak High or anyplace else at 20 feet, the Lone Star flies at the same height - 20 feet. Do you know why? Because it is the only state that was a Republic before it became a state.

Also, being a Texan is as high as being an American down here. Our capitol is the only one in the country that is taller than the capitol building in Washington , D.C. and we can divide our state into five states at any time if we wanted to!
We can become a republic again at any time the voters of Texas choose, and we included these things as part of the deal when we came on.
That's the best part, right there.

Texas even has its own power grid!! And don't even lie to yourself... Did I mention Live music capitol of the world?

If you are a REAL TEXAN, you won't even need to be told to pass this on.

In FACT, everyone who reads this should copy / paste and email to everyone they know.

Thank you.

Couple of days off

Greetings from the TRUE NORTH STRONG AND FREE... Canada

The LORD gave us a great day on Sunday, in which we are thankful.

My son, David and I will be taking a few days off to go hunting and camping north of Prince George.

Dave was able to get a Grizzly Bear draw, and it is open hunting for any size bull moose.

The weather is warm not the best for hunting, however where we are going I ran into a nice size 'grizzly' a couple of years ago. So I know there are bears in them mountains.

If you come across this blog, please pray for us - safety first and foremost. Pray that the Lord would bless us with a nice moose as well.

Should return on Wednesday evening late, I will give a report at that time.

Our Bible

Its central theme is the work and person of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God and Son of Man. I Timothy 3:16 John 1:1-3 Colossians 1:15-19

Although written under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost by over 40 different men covering a period of nearly 1,600 years, it displays a remarkable cohesion and unity that is unparalleled by any other religious writing.

It contains 66 Books – 39 in the Old Testament (OT) and 27 in the New Testament (NT).

There are 1,189 chapters in our Bible – 929 in the OT and 260 in the NT.

There are 31,102 verses – 23,145 in the OT and 7,957 in the NT.

There are 788,280 words – 609,269 in the OT and 179,011 in the NT.

There are over 3.5 million letters in the Bible.

The longest chapter in the Bible is Psalm 119 (176 verses, 2426 words – 4 full pages).

The shortest chapter is Psalm 117 (2 verses, 33 words).

The longest verse in the Bible is Esther 8:9 (90 words); the shortest verse is

John 11:35 (2 words). I Thessalonians 5:16 also has 2 words, “Rejoice evermore.”

The two middle books in the Bible are Micah and Nahum.

The middle chapter in the Bible is Psalm 117.

The two middle verses in the Bible are Psalm 103:1, 2.

Although the autographs (original writings) are no longer in existence, there remain over 5,000 manuscripts of the Bible in the form of copies, scraps of copies, Jewish scrolls and early translations into other languages. There are thousands of early letters, books, sermons and commentaries containing quotations from scripture. Most of these translations, copies, sermons, etc., were produced before the year 300 AD. If all the Bibles in the world were destroyed, there are enough reliable manuscripts to completely reproduce the Holy Scriptures with an accuracy rate of 99.5%. Most of the errors (if any were found) would be in spelling or punctuation. This accuracy and authenticity is unmatched by any other book in the world!

THE CLOCK

The clock of life is wound but once,
and no man has the power to tell just when
the hands will stop at late or early hour.

To lose one's wealth is sad indeed.

To lose one's health is more.

To lose one's soul is such a loss that
no man can restore.

51 people died while you read this short poem.
Sooner or later you will find yourself in the hands
of the living God.

Are you ready???

... Blessed are the dead which die in the LORD ... Revelation 14:13

Mission Thoughts on Monday - August 17, 2008

Missionary Vision Matthew 9:38

Lord God of Hosts! Open thy people’s eyes

That they may see earth’s whitened harvest field

Widespread. May note the precious grain that lies

Unreaped. Open! That they may see the promised yield

Perish because no sickles touch the grain

Making Thy Son’s great sacrifice in vain.

Lord God of Hosts! Call forth our young and strong

Into Thy harvest field where did the lost

In sin’s black night of fear and hate and wrong.

Lord! Call them forth to toil at any cost

That ransomed multitudes may stand

With those who reaped, at Thy right hand.

Consider Him - 2008 Spiritual Conference

Well catching up on Summer happenings, I must tell you of my trip to Lancaster, Calif.

Greater Vancouver Baptist Church our sending church, sent three missionaries from GVBC to the 2008 Spiritual Leadership Conference at Lancaster Baptist Church.

The theme this year was "Consider Christ" Hebrews 12:3.

This was a great blessing and an investment from GVBC to the Stansfords of Marystown, NL, the Mackays of Burnaby, BC and the Hallmarks of Prince George, BC.

Pastor Conner and Bro. Boyd Stansford.

Bro. Russell and Lisa Mackay.

While at the conference I was able to visit with Joshua Mitchell, Josh and our son Dave grew up together in Abbotsford. Josh is working in Los Vagas as a summer missionary, this fall he will be working with the Mackays in Barnaby, BC.

Opening Day in Peace River Region 7B

The change has been made.

Today is opening of Hunting Season, just two and a half hours north of Prince George.

My son, David and a friend have traveled up to MU. 7-31 hunting for both Moose and Grizz. The weather is hot so I am not sure how well they will do this week. But I shot my first moose on August 15, 1989 at about 7:15 pm and we were able to keep it cool thru the night.

THE WILL OF GOD will never ...

The will of God will never take you,

Where the grace of God cannot keep you.
Where the arms of God cannot support you,
Where the riches of God cannot supply your needs,
Where the power of God cannot endow you.

The will of God will never take you,
Where the spirit of God cannot work through you,
Where the wisdom of God cannot teach you,
Where the army of God cannot protect you,
Where the hands of God cannot mold you.

The will of God will never take you,
Where the love of God cannot enfold you,
Where the mercies of God cannot sustain you,
Where the peace of God cannot calm your fears,
Where the authority of God cannot overrule for you.

The will of God will never take you,
Where the comfort of God cannot dry your tears,
Where the Word of God cannot feed you,
Where the miracles of God cannot be done for you,
Where the omnipresence of God cannot find you.

Catching up on a busy Summer 2008

I am using the next three days to catch up on what is happening this summer with the Hallmarks here in Prince George.

For the most part of the summer we have been able to enjoy Regena's mom, known as GG. Also we have enjoyed one of our grandsons Nic.

This all started in July when Regena and I traveled down to Seatac to pick them up. GG hates to change planes. So we were happy to go and get them.

We stopped and did some strawberry picking.

In about 20 minutes we picked 22 lbs of strawberries.
hummmm

Because of a fire in the Fraser Canyon we have to travel
the Coquihalla and stopped by Logan Lake.
